About
The HR person you’ll actually want to call.
After 20 years in senior in-house HR roles with large global corporates, across logistics, manufacturing and automotive, I was made redundant. It gave me the space to rethink what I wanted my work and my life to look like. The further up I’d gone, the less I got to do the bit I actually loved: working closely with leaders in real businesses, helping them grow well.
Two years on, I run a busy consultancy supporting organisations across the UK and globally, with a small team of trusted advisors alongside me. Fewer clients. Deeper relationships. Clear, practical, senior HR guidance.

How I work
I’m not an extra pair of hands. I’m a strategic HR partner.
That means I think commercially. I care about your bottom line, your culture, your retention numbers and your risk, not just your policies folder.
I work with business owners, operations directors and leadership teams who want someone senior enough to challenge them, experienced enough to handle the hard stuff, and straightforward enough to say what needs saying.
I also partner with HR Directors and Chief People Officers on the complex work their teams don’t have the capacity or specialist skills for: investigations, restructures, mergers and acquisitions, and change projects.
Clients tend to describe me the same way: calm and trusted. People find it easy to talk to me, and that matters when the conversation is a tricky one. I don’t panic when things get messy (and they do sometimes, that’s people). I bring a steady head, a sense of humour and a clear plan.
What I believe
Good HR isn’t about bureaucracy. Or being the fun police.
It’s about building a business where good people want to stay and do great work.
Most of the businesses I work with don’t need a 60-page handbook. They need someone who understands employment law, understands people, and understands the pressure of running a growing company. Someone who can pick up the phone when something’s gone wrong and know exactly what to do.
That’s what I do.
A bit more about me
From HR admin to business owner.
I started out in an HR administration role, which taught me how people management really works on the ground. I went on to do a Master’s in Human Resource Management and spent the next two decades working my way up, picking up a lot of employee relations, organisational change and performance management along the way.
Outside work, I’m a mum of two energetic girls, and when I get a moment to myself, you’ll usually find me out running. Juggling family and a career has taught me a lot about flexibility, and I bring that to how I work with you. I’m happy to meet in person or work remotely, wherever your team happens to be.
